Andrea Edwards Joins EMC Planning Group

August 12, 2011—Monterey, CA. EMC Planning Group, a full service land use and environmental planning firm, is excited to announce Andrea Edwards has joined its team as a Associate Biologist.

She has over ten years of experience in plant biology, biological resources evaluations, natural resource planning, and habitat restoration. She specializes in the identification of native California plants, vegetation types mapping, mitigation monitoring, and restoration projects. Her responsibilities include conducting jurisdictional delineations to provide baseline data concerning the type and extent of resources under U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG), and the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) jurisdiction. She is also responsible for performing reconnaissance surveys to document existing biological resources; assessing potential impacts per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines; conducting focused field surveys for special status plant species; preparing tree survey reports; and developing plant compendia for project sites.
