Teri Wissler Adam, Senior Principal, is celebrating her 20^th anniversary with EMC Planning Group. Over the years, she has played an integral role in the success and growth of the firm.

Teri's area of expertise is in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance. She directs a wide-range of projects throughout California, both private and public, including residential and mixed-use projects, specific plans, general plans, roadways and bridges, and elementary schools to college campuses.

She has represented clients throughout Monterey County, Santa Clara County, Merced County, and as far south as Los Angeles County.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Staff Support Assistance for the City of Greenfield

EMC Planning Group is proud to announce it has been selected by the City of Greenfield’s Planning Department to provide staffing assistance. Duties include review of new projects, coordination with other departments, communication with applicants, and representation of the Planning Department at Planning Commission and City Council hearings. The first projects include a new supermarket tenant within a vacant building and a new auto parts store. EMC Planning Group recently prepared the CEQA review for the City’s Housing Element update and is preparing the environmental review and assisting City staff with expansion of the City’s Patriot Park.

Visual Simulation

EMC Planning Group prepared a three-dimensional visual simulation model of the Monterey Coast Guard Pier, encompassing the adjacent Lighthouse Avenue curve and the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail in the City of Monterey. The owners of the facility are constructing additional boat slips and a dock extension, and hired EMC Planning Group to develop the model for the purposes of conducting a visual analysis for the project.

The visual simulation model provides an effective tool for simulating the visual impacts of the proposed pier additions. City officials are able to use the model to look at the project from a variety of viewpoints, including Lighthouse Avenue, and the Monterey Bay Coastal Trail.

American Planning Association's State Conference in Santa Barbara

EMC Planning Group has been a long supporter of the California Planning Foundation (CPF), an organization that raises money to award student scholarships. This year, EMC Planning Group will be showing its support for CPF by donating an iPad2 for its live auction event on Monday night, September 12, at the APA conference in Santa Barbara.
