Emma Jack, PhD, Joins EMC Planning Group as Biologist/
Senior Planner
EMC Planning Group, a full service land use and environmental planning firm, is excited to announce Dr. Emma Jack has joined its team as Biologist/Senior Planner. In her role, Dr. Jack will be responsible for performing botanical and wildlife surveys, wetland and waters of the U.S. determinations, and assisting clients in complying with the Federal Endangered Species Act, California Endangered Species Act, Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, California Fish and Game Code, and local (county and/or city) regulations. Dr. Jack is also responsible for permit processing and preparation of environmental documents in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Prior to joining EMC Planning Group, Dr. Jack worked with several south bay area consulting firms and has been responsible for management of field surveys, preparing reports, client relations for assigned projects, and overseeing (writing and peer reviewing) the preparation of biological resource sections of environmental documents. She has obtained an in depth knowledge of most local, state and national laws for impacts on natural resources and environmental quality.
